This Music video I am going to analyse is by Ne-Yo “Let Me Love You” and is in the R&B/POP genre.
The relation between the visuals and the music help show the meaning of the video, being about losing someone you have loved in the past. This is shown to the audience by using slow motion in the video which represent flashbacks or past memories.
The Relation between the visuals and the lyrics helps the audience see what the video represents. In this case can hear Ne-Yo singing about a woman but using the visuals we are able to see Ne-Yo singing and with the use of transactions we see the woman he is singing about.
In this music video, the performance is narrative based. We can clearly see Ne-Yo showing his love for this woman who is portrayed in the video. This is also explained by the lyrics and title of the song ‘Let me love you’.
