Research - Magazine Advert - Kasabian

From looking at many magazine adverts most of them generally have little information such as a release date and a plain design or large photo of the artist or graphic design. This magazine advert clearly shows the band's name ‘Kasabian’ in the centre of the poster and release date at the bottom. The advert itself doesn't say much about the music. This one is for an album so for a single we could include the name of the song. This advert also includes the logo of the record label. When looking at this poster it also shows reviews from other magazines.

The colours of this magazine advert has a very dull background with a colourful image in the centre of it. This has been done to catch the reader attention. The big, black, bold logo is the centre piece of the advert and is the first thing the reader sees. With the logo saying the bands name it paints a clear picture in the readers mind of who it is and it is the first thing they remember.

When we think of Negus Theory - "A naturalistic approach to artist" this advert fits right into that. The advert is very minimalistic but with just enough information to put the point across.
